Control of magnetic response in curved stripes by tailoring the cross section

Curved magnetic architectures are key enablers of prospective devices with respect to size, functionality, and speed. By exploring geometry-governed interactions, curvilinear magnetism offers a number intriguing effects in curved wires films. The applicability the current micromagnetic theory requires that sample has constant width thickness, which does not correspond many cases specificity experimental preparation. Here, we put forth self-consistent framework nanowires narrow stripes spatially inhomogeneous cross section. influence varying section is exploited illustrated by an example simplest topological texture, transversal head-to-head (tail-to-tail) domain wall. cross-section gradient becomes source wall pinning competes curvature gradient. Eigenfrequencies free oscillations at potential determined both gradients. Prospects for magnonics spintronics discussed.
